MODD Social Dance

Modds monthly social dance. The first hour is a workshop used to practice new dances we are learning and test out new music for dances we've been doing for a while.

This session is ideal for beginners as we walk through the dances and spend time getting to grips with steps and how it fits to the music. Then dancing from 8 - 11pm with tea and biscuits about half way through. This is included in the entry price.

Requests are taken after supper so we can never be sure of the exact programme, and style of dancing. It could be some traditional ballroom, social sequence, rock and roll or a "called" country dance.

Modds is run by a group of dancers with an eclectic repertoire of dance styles, all of whom have an interest in promoting dancing as fun and are willing to give new dances a go. Come and have a look, you might be surprised at how well you can pick it up. And we specialise in people who reckon they have two left feet - so no excuses.
