MWA4: Advanced Clay with Marilyn Wheeler

​Learn how to create glazes, load kilns, improve throwing and investigate many different decorating techniques.

​Work with Marilyn, a skilled ceramic artist, whose latest body of work utilises handmade stencils, airbrushing and sgraffito (scratching through the coloured surface to show the clay colour beneath), creating images of people, places and events. Let the thrown and handmade works you create become a canvas for your decorative designs.

Materials Required:
Students must bring their own clay and clay tools.
Clay is available from Estuary Arts or from CCG Industries, Triton Ave, Albany.
Firing costs are extra.

Duration: 8 weeks, 24 hours tuition
