Held in Te Kuiti the Shearing capital of the world on 28th – 30th March 2019, this annual 3 day event, now in its 35th year, exhibits world class shearing, wool handling, speed shears, novice, junior, intermediate senior and open events as well as the inaugural Womens shearing event. With team challenges and circuits, prize giving’s and more and the NZ Shearing Champs is fast paced fun for all the family no matter what your background.
Featuring 250-300 competitors both domestic and International, the heats and some finals take place during the day session with Friday and Saturday nights hosting the major finals and featuring live entertainment on both nights.
