A group of passionate individuals got together to achieve this dream of creating Classic Flyers to protect the rich and precious history of New Zealand aviation.
The creation of Classic Flyers was funded entirely by these individuals who shared a dream. A venture created by New Zealanders for New Zealanders. As a non-commercial Trust, whatever we make from the museum, on site cafe & shop, and our events goes back into preserving our aviation heritage.
After months upon months of fundraising efforts and obtaining exhibits, Classic Flyers celebrated its grand opening on Saturday 28th May 2005 with an awe-inspiring classic flyers air display.
There will be loads of fun for the family, Plane start ups, Sausage sizzle, fire engine rides and so much more!
So come along and Join Classic Flyers as we turn 14 years old!
