Hear the heavenly Miserere Mei Deus, composed by Gregorio Allegri in the 1630s, together with a collection of vocal works by John Cage, composed between 1983 and 1990. Although these two composers lived 300 years apart, their music is remarkably connected - harmonically, texturally, and philosophically.
In the mid-winter darkness, this concert will use aural and visual effects to bring warmth and peace.
Under the leadership of their talented young director, Daniel Cooper, the Knox Singers are developing a reputation for versatility and originality. Their repertoire includes classical works as well as the unusual and the unexpected.
