Come along and learn about Pacific voyaging with experienced navigators and the crew of the Tuia 250 flotilla.
Beneath the stunning Stardome, gain instruction about the practice of celestial navigation – the art and science of finding your way by the sun, moon, stars and planets. In one form or another, celestial navigation is one of the oldest practices in human history, a technique used by the earliest voyagers who journeyed from Hawaiki to navigate across Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa, the Pacific Ocean, to Aotearoa.
