Welcome to our Pink Tent workshop.
We come together to honour and celebrate our young girls as they reach the special time in their life of becoming a woman ( starting their menstrual cycle)
Here we will welcome our maidens into the wonderful teachings and practices of the Red Tent and Moon Mysteries.
We will share together our experiences of becoming a woman, things we wish we had known as we started this journey.
We will craft together, share the wisdom of the moon cycles and how they affect us, sing, dance, share food and stories.
We will sit and listen to our young girls as they share whats on their hearts.
We make a commitment to them to support, love and war with them through the good times and the bad. In today's society our daughters are facing more and more pressure from social media and need the guidance and support of people in real life situations that they can turn too. Many times this isn't the mother but another woman in the support network. We honour bringing this support back to our girls and daughters.
In the afternoon we will hold a mini Menarche ceremony, this is a traditional women's rite of passage for Maidens who have stared bleeding but will also be open to all women who haven't been through this rite of passage.
This ceremony will be open to any girl who has started bleeding or any girl from the age of 10 upwards.
Please bring a cushion to sit on, pen and journal, water bottle and food to share for the morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Please note this workshop is for women and girls only, no exceptions.
We require a minimum of 5 for the event to take place.
$35 for Mother and Maiden. Additional Maidens $8 each.
$25 for Women on their own
$20 for Helpers (max 2 needed)
Please also bring a financial donation towards the craft supplies.
This workshop is run by Emily. Emily is a certified Red Tent Facilitator and Menarche Ceremony and Workshop Facilitator.
