Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.
This course runs on over three weekly sessions 6:30 - 8:30 PM with Registered Dietitians from The University of Auckland Clinics at the Tamaki Innovation Campus.
The course starts Monday 25 March 2019.
Thinking about plant-based food for a positive effect on your overall health and well-being by adding plant-based recipes to your diet? The beginning of each class will discuss the health benefits of a plant-based diet, and then participants can get to the cooking.
Course Outline:
Session 1:
- An introduction to the principles of a plant-based diet and healthy eating.
- Preparation and cooking of at least 2 meals/snacks.
Session 2:
- An understanding of current media related nutrition trends in this area.
- Preparation and cooking of at least 2 meals/snacks.
Session 3:
- A final overview and additional education on a plant-based diet and healthy eating.
- Preparation and cooking of at least 2 meals/snacks.
Course fee includes $60.00 for ingredients.
