The Dunedin City Council invites you to take part in Plastic Free July, the global movement that gets us thinking about the amount of plastic in our lives. The challenge raises awareness of our growing plastic waste problem and supports behaviour change by helping people avoid single-use plastic.
With a variety of workshops, talks and tours available, you’ll be well equipped to give up single-use plastic for good.

Spaces are limited, so bookings are advised.

Come and learn about identifying microplastics on our coastlines.
Join the Royal Albatross Centre and Sustainable Coastlines to be part of a grassroots solution to litter in Aotearoa.

Learn how to identify microplastics on our coastlines and contribute to a national citizen science project. Investigate the impact of marine debris on local wildlife and find out more about the source of the problem.

Warm clothing, sturdy footwear, water, food.
