Every two years the Port Chalmers Seafood Festival takes over Port Otago celebrating the greatest Kai Moana, Kiwi music, and local beverages to match it all.

A special day out for the family and for friends - this is a must-attend event that attracts 4000+ people from across New Zealand who come for the great tastes and the chance to support a small community at the same time.

Fresh Seafood Stalls, Live Cooking Demonstrations including Masterchef Winner Brent McGregor, Kids Entertainment including the Experience the Blu Virtual Reality experience, Live Music, Free Transport from Dunedin CBD via Train and Bus, or catch one of the many charter boats that make special trips to the festival from Dunedin and around the Otago Harbour.

We pride ourselves on providing a small but quality line up of local Dunedin and Kiwi music!

Helping Dunedin:
The Festival is completely run by local volunteers who have worked together to create a professional festival that is fun for the whole family. Its roots are in the community it serves and in 2015 the festival returned over $20,000 to West Harbour and wider Dunedin community groups. The 2017 festival was ever bigger!
