Prep School Burlesque Level 1

Our first Prep School course for 2019 begins February 21st.

Corps de Burlesque - School of Seduction.

Prep School Level 1:
This is a 6 week course, perfect for anyone who is curious to dip their toes into the glittery burlesque pool. We will take you on a journey through the art of tease, beginning with posture and confidence, walking in heels, peeling gloves, stockings, corsets and more.

We explore the rich history of this glorious art form and learn about some of the biggest legends of burlesque.

No nudity is involved in these classes. No previous dance experience is required, just an open mind and an attitude of fun.

About your teachers:
Once upon a time there were two prim and proper ballerinas from New Zealand, they were young, innocent and full of hopes and dreams for the future. One day the pair got themselves lost on the way home from Sunday school.

In hopes of getting directions they followed a trail of sequins and the sound of jazz music and down the rabbit hole they went to behold sights, sounds and wonders beyond their wildest imagination. The rest is history!

Dahlia Dangerous and Trillian met 5 years ago as they prepared to debut as solo performers. The two rapidly cemented their position within the local and international industries, safe to say The Ballet School Dropouts are New Zealand's favourite burlesque duet.

Collectively they have over 50 years experience in various styles of dance and performance, using their exceptional talent for synchronicity to create intense and powerful acts that will leave you clinging to the edge of your seat and begging for more.
