Redwood Ramble

Hidden deep within the Akatarawa Forest in the Hukinga Valley stands a native forest of Redwood trees. Journey by 4WD to the middle of this history-rich forest to embark on a fascinating guided walk. Be prepared to get your feet wet as there will be river crossings! After the walk, it’s back to the trucks and we’ll drive you back to the start, so bring dry socks to change into.

What to bring:
Tramping boots, a spare pair of socks, lunch, water bottle (this is compulsory)

Meet at Awakairangi Park opposite the Totara Park entrance to the Akatarawas
Will be leaving the carpark at 9.30am and back by 2pm.
