Rugby Fever at Te Rauparaha Arena

Join us at Te Rauparaha Park on Saturday 12 October between 10am-2pm for a day of great rugby fever fun, food, games, competitions, face painting and music!

We're celebrating the final pool game for the All Blacks, which will be played against Italy at the Toyota Stadium in the Aichi Prefecture on Monday 12 October. This is significant because the game will be played in the same prefecture as Porirua's sister city, Nishio.

We're excited to open with an impressive taiko drumming from a local group, Mukume Taiko! They have been practising at Samuel Marsden Collegiate School Whitby. The school has hosted visiting students from Nishio for a number of years.

In line with the All Blacks game against Italy in Japan, we'll have yummy pizza, gelato as well as taiyaki (a Japanese pancake snack) available to purchase.

Your young ones will love to have their face painted for free! Our face painters will be available between 10:30am-1:30pm.

ZM's Black Thunder vehicle will be onsite from 10am-12 noon with their prize wall. There are great rugby themed activities with prizes to be won - including tickets to the Wellington Lions vs Waikato game at the Westpac Stadium later in the evening!
