Sandra Coney Author Talk

Auckland Libraries offers two opportunities to commemorate ANZAC Day with Sandra Coney as she presents the research behind her book “Gone West: Great War memorials of Waitakere and their soldiers.”

This renowned author and local historian brings history to life with the presentation of her book which recounts the stories of the soldiers who appear on the WWI memorials in West Auckland and their families.

Sandra Coney has written numerous books about West Auckland. She is an award-winning journalist and member of the Waitakere Ranges Local Board.

Bookings recommended but it isn’t essential. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Sandra Coney will speak again at Waitakere Central Library on Wednesday 10 April at 2pm.
