A programme of short films by artists in response to Semiconductor: The Technological Sublime, curated by Catherine Fowler, Associate Professor in Film, University of Otago. Catherine will introduce the films at the screening.

Much of Semiconductor’s work looks into the distance (into space and the atmosphere) and the depths (deep down into the earth). But the artists also remind us of the limiting effects of what we see and perceive. This programme explores some of these limits through the theme of the horizon and the horizontal.

Films include:
- Peter Miller’s Set (Canada, 2016)
- Alia Syed’s Panopticon Letters: Missive I (UK, 2012)
- Mohamad Hafeda’s Sewing Borders (Lebanon, 2018)
- Polly Stanton’s The Spectral Field (Australia, 2017)
- Rachel Rose’s Everything and More (US, 2015)
