This course runs on Tuesday 9 July 2019 10 am - 4 pm with art educator Annabel McKinnon. This workshop is for children aged 7 - 12 years.
his one day art course is an exploration of 'Self'. In the tradition of artists throughout the centuries we will explore how we can portray self through painting and drawing in both a literal and a more abstract sense. Learning to draw inspiration from the styles of artists before us as well adding our own unique touches, we will work to create images of the subject we know the best: ourselves.
What to bring: Your lunch and a drink bottle.
Expected learning outcomes:
- Develop a range of painting techniques using acrylic paints
- Develop drawing skillls
- Know how to form discussions around artwork.
- Have basic general knowledge of famous artists through history.
About Annabel McKinnon: I’m a recent Visual Arts graduate with a specific focus on painting, drawing and print-making. I am passionate about sharing my love for art with others and helping them to realize that anybody can create.
