Treating articulation and phonology in children with cleft palate and related disorders
On behalf of the cleft palate team at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, we would like to invite you to participate in this 1-day seminar event. The focus will be on therapy techniques for children with speech disorders including cleft palate.
We are excited to announce that Dr. Anne Harding-Bell will be our keynote speaker for the day. Anne has worked as a specialist SLT with the cleft team in Cambridge, UK for over 30 years. She is a renowned international expert in the field of cleft palate. Anne has made a significant contribution to the scientific literature with many publications and has presented at numerous conferences. Her latest publication ‘Case Studies in Cleft Palate Speech’ is currently in print. Anne has also been involved in the setting up and teaching on the post graduate cleft palate courses for cleft SLTs. She is passionate about treating speech disorders and throughout her presentations you will experience Anne’s unique ability to combine science and clinical expertise through her many video examples of intervention.
We will also be joined by our expert cleft speech pathology colleagues from Australia, David Fitzsimons from Westmead Children’s Hospital, Sydney and Jana Carr from John Hunter from Children’s Hospital, Newcastle, together with our local cleft team speech language therapists from Middlemore Hospital, Maeve Morrison and Mel Street, who will all present.
