Gates Open 2PM - Internationally acclaimed musician Nathan Haines plays his first ever concert in the Far North with his 7 piece band at the beautiful and historic Butler Point. Featuring brother Joel Haines on guitar and vocalist Tama Waipara plus a band of Nathan's closest friends and collaborators, this concert promises to be a very special afternoon of top musicianship and jazz, soul and latin sounds from one of New Zealand's most respected and multi award winning musicians. As well as 2 certified Gold selling albums in his native New Zealand and many sell out tours during his 25 year plus career, Nathan has gained a large following overseas after decades spent living and performing in the UK. "Sounds Good" will also feature artisan food stalls plus Keri-keri based Kainui Wines will be offering an amazing selection of locally grown wines and award winning craft beers, all in the wonderful garden-like atmosphere of Butler Point, a short 10 minute drive from the historic village of Mangonui.
Bring a picnic blanket - kids under 12 are free. Gates open at 2pm, Jaimie Webster Haines DJ set from 2.30pm. PLEASE NOTE this is a licensed event and is strictly NO BYO. Bags will be searched and ticketholders will be asked to remove liquor from the site.
