On the first Sunday of September, the unofficial Wellington 'Most Subversive Guitarist in Town' award winner intends to dismantle a handful of unsuspecting jazz standards. It's guaranteed to be a more stimulating and rewarding listening experience than the soon to be released Taylor Swift album, or you money back (luckily it's free to get in).
Aleister Campbell may or may not have learned to play guitar on a rubber band stretched between two native trees deep in the heart of the Hutt Vally Delta, but he certainly brings a refined sense of depth to the wide expanse of music he creates. At home in a whole bunch of genres, his music is informed by a lifetime of curiosity, spicy cuisine, and nocturnal skateboard missions.
For this show at the Rogue and Vagabond he is joined by:
Paul Dyne - Double Bass
Jake Baxendale - Saxophone and some other funny looking thing
Shaun Anderson - Drum Kit
