Talk by Dr Marewa Glover

We are very pleased to announce a talk by Dr Marewa Glover, Director of the Centre of Research Excellence: Indigenous Sovereignty & Smoking based in Torbay. Her Centre aims to reduce the harms associated with tobacco use among all indigenous people globally.

She was named as a finalist this year in both the New Zealander of the Year Award and NZ Communicator of the Year. She is Tobacco Section Editor for the International Harm Reduction Journal and has led or collaborated on studies resulting in over 100 scientific publications.

A former Massey University Professor of Public Health and former Chair of End Smoking NZ. Dr Glover is also an accomplished poet and has had several short stories published in anthologies.
