Bring the tamariki for a family-friendly tour of the exhibition ‘Pūkana: moments in Maori performance’ at 10am. All ages with a supervising adult welcome. The duration of the tour is 20 minutes. At 10.30am Ariana Tikao will demonstrate Māori wind instruments and make them sing for us.
We will then make our own Māori instrument, decorate them and learn how to play them. All ages welcome. Caregivers can grab a coffee but are expected to supervise their children during the duration of the programme. Please book in to secure a spot in this free programme.

Ariana Tikao is a performer and composer of music in te reo and English. She is an experienced player of taonga pūoro - Māori wind instruments. Our friendly learning facilitators will make this tour fun. They will also lead the activities and help children to be creative.
