The future of apps: Smartphone apps exploded in popularity for people to have easy access to services and information from platforms from around the world. But they are time-consuming and costly to make; Progressive Web Apps take the best features of smartphone apps but utilise web technology to create them more quickly. Come along to hear about the future of apps.

Virtual reality: Virtual Reality is an incredibly immersive technology that people have often heard about but not experienced. Come along to hear about the ways it is being used around the world and experience the deep seas or space for yourself.

Cartoons in Rotorua: Kids grow up loving and devouring cartoons, but often they are made by overseas companies with no connection to local storytelling. Come along to hear from a company based in Rotorua looking to create cartoons for in Te Reo to tell local stories, and make local cartoons that kids and adults can love.
