Term 1: Introduction to costume design course

Led by Pop-up Globe’s Head of Wardrobe Chantelle Gerrard, this 8-week costume design course will teach students all aspects of the design process including research, script interpretation, colour theory, designing for different spaces, lighting, character interpretation, and the differences between designing for theatre and film.

Practical elements will include how to draw figures freehand, how to render your designs and tricks to get proportions right. With VIP access to the Pop-up Globe wardrobe department, students will learn from the costume designers behind Pop-up Globe's critically-acclaimed on stage productions.

Ideal for creative students who may or may not be studying design.

This course is for students aged 11 - 14 years. The course takes place every Wednesday from 20 February to 10 April.
