The Magic of Music

As Auckland’s historic Wurlitzer pipe organ is now being installed in its new home at the Playhouse Theatre in Glen Eden, we continue to present a selection of shows featuring some of the popular artists that entertained us during our years at the Hollywood Cinema.

Despite the Wurlitzer not being available, Great Britain's Chris Powell and his lively “Blackpool Style” of playing the organ can still be enjoyed on a digital organ. Thanks to Music-Planet we will have an Allen TH300 digital theatre organ on stage - as close as we can get to the sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer!
