Rollicking Entertainment presents Messy Magic Adventure! There’s magic on the loose these school holidays at the Blue Baths!

Spray and Wipe are two cleaners who have been hired for their most exciting job ever, cleaning a magician’s house! But when they accidentally let the magic out of its box, everything is turned topsy-turvy…

Now, the audience must help Spray and Wipe think of a plan to get the magic back in the box before the magician comes home, as her house gets messier and messier! The best of circus, slapstick and magic combine in this very special adventure for primary school aged children and their families.

Bios:
David Ladderman is an actor, circus performer and theatre maker. He was a founding member of The Loons Circus Theatre Company, and worked with them until the 2011 earthquakes. Since then he has performed for the New Zealand Opera, The Cricket World Cup, The World Buskers Festival, The Court Theatre, The Hobbit – World Premiere and The NZ International Comedy Festival, while touring his solo show, Battle of the Bastards internationally. In 2013 he formed Rollicking Entertainment with Lizzie Tollemache and is now the company’s general manager.

Lizzie Tollemache is a sideshow stuntwoman, theatre maker and the creative director of Rollicking Entertainment Ltd. After spending six years as an improviser and MC with New Zealand’s longest running comedy show, Scared Scriptless, Lizzie now performs around the world at events as diverse as the Dubai International Comedy Festival, WOMAD, the Rugby World Cup, Edinburgh Fringe and World Buskers Festival. She is also a motivational speaker at universities around the UK and Australasia. In 2013 she formed Rollicking Entertainment with David Ladderman.

Rollicking Entertainment Ltd was formed out of a deep love for carnival tradition. The company uses circus, illusion and sideshow to make original theatre which tells New Zealand stories. They now tour to arts festivals and theatres all across New Zealand as well as overseas (Canada, the UK and Australia). Their award winning original productions, all devised by David and Lizzie, include Mr and Mrs Alexander: Sideshows and Psychics, The Dunstan Creek Haunting, Seven Deadly Stunts and The Messy Magic Adventure trilogy for children.
