Geshe Jampa Tharchin is speaking in Wellington on authentic Tibetan Buddhist techniques and how they can be practically applied to our modern lives.

Geshe la has over 25 years experience in Buddhist philosophy, meditation and teaching, and is currently the resident teacher at Chandrakirti Meditation Centre in Upper Moutere, Nelson.

Caring for self and others: The Buddhist Path of Empathy and Compassion.

Buddhism lays out a path of those in caring or supporting roles. Caring for others can be a wonderful journey in developing your own qualities of loving kindness and compassion. This approach will make your life most meaningful and create the causes for future happiness. Geshe la will discuss the joy that comes with an altruistic attitude and will provide practical ways to develop this resilient and vast mind.

The workshop will include guided meditation, discussion and self-care techniques.
All warmly welcome, no prior experience or knowledge necessary.
