Based on a traditional Japanese martial art, contemporary Aikido focuses on development of the mind, body and spirit.
During January we are offering free trial lessons for adult beginners. So have a go. No special gear required just wear track pants and loose top (t-shirt) or gi if you have one.
For more information and to register your interest email andrew@aikido.org.nz or phone 565 1055.
Aikido is more than a self-defence system. Training in Aikido is fun and improves coordination, balance and posture; stimulates the mind; builds self-confidence; improves flexibility; builds “core” strength, and lots more. It does not depend on your size or strength, so it is suitable for all ages, women and men. Anyone of reasonable fitness and injury free can participate.
Once you have tried a few classes (free) if it is something you want to continue on with we have a beginners course starting in Feb.
(Instructors give their time freely).
