Tuia 250 Open tours of waka hourua – Fa’afaite, Haunui, Ngahiraka Mai Tawhiti, Te Matau a Māui and Tairāwhiti.
Learn about voyaging and navigation at the Stardome and watch waka ama and surf lifesaving. Take your tamariki to the Tuia Mātauranga Roadshow.
It’s fitting that the Tuia 250 Voyage concludes at a site of significance for the ancestors of Māori who settled Aotearoa, a place that was once a highway for Pacific voyaging.
