University of Auckland music lecturer and well-known writer Graham Reid looks at turning points in Western pop music—the rise of rock’n’roll, Motown, the Beatles, reggae, punk and hip-hop—and ask why then, why those people, why from that place and why that music? Five 90 minutes of informative conversation with music and video clips to try to explain those pivotal times.
