Set just inside the gates of Te Henui Cemetery, amongst the picturesque historical grounds is Te Henui Chapel. With 360 degree windows this state-of-the-art venue will host this year’s gin in the garden outing. Last year this event sold out in rapid timing.

It’s your chance to get a group together, sip and sample the newest Juno distillations, enjoy delicious canapés and mix and mingle in the elegant, architecturally designed Te Henui Chapel. You’ll be served Juno cocktails including signature drink the ‘Bloody Monica’ named after New Zealand arts patron and women’s rights advocate Monica Brewster. She now rests in the cemetery.

Afterwards, stroll through Te Henui cemetery and see the incredible garden work that is crafted by a group of six volunteers who prefer to remain anonymous. They are the wonderful ghosts of Te Henui Cemetery.

Bookings: TAFT office, Cnr Powderham & Brougham Sts, New Plymouth, Ph 06 759 8412 or www.gardenfestnz.co.nz Bookings essential, limited numbers

Admission: $55pp (includes 2 cocktails and canapés)
