Upper Hutt Returned and Services Association Incorporated and Upper Hutt City Council welcome you to join us at the official Upper Hutt Anzac Day Dawn Parade and Service of Remembrance on Thursday 25 April from 5.30 am.
Anzac Day commemorates those who have died at war serving New Zealand and it honours returned servicemen and women, past and present.
5.30 am - Parade assembles at Queen Street car park (behind ANZ)
5.45 am - March on to Upper Hutt Civic Centre
6.00 am - Firing of the shot – dawn service begins
In the event of wet weather, the service will take place in the Professionals Recreation Hall at Expressions Whirinaki Arts and Entertainment Centre.
Council’s official photographer will be present and photos will be published after the event. If you do not want your image to be used, please contact us.
Following the dawn service there will be a memorial service held at St John’s Church on the corner of Fergusson Drive and Moonshine Road. This is hosted by St John’s Church in collaboration with the RSA.
