In what promises to be a memorable end to Matariki 2019, these two exceptional artists will deliver their music within the hallowed confines of the Arataki Visitor’s Centre, framed by the surrounding majesty of the Waitakere Ranges.

Sherydon Ngaropo Te Tai (Te Rarawa, Ngati Porou)
A protege of Maisey Rika and Tama Waipara, Sherydon Ngaropo Te Tai is a rare talent. Possessed with both a songwriting craft and voice beyond her years, she casts a spell on the listener, drawing them into a world of yearning and nostalgia.

Ed Waaka (Te Rarawa, Te Aupouri, Ngati Pahauwera)
It would be fair to describe Ed as one of New Zealand’s hidden gems. He possesses a soul man’s voice and a poet’s soul. Within his songs we find messages that are universal. He takes pride in writing songs that are consciously direct and spiritually uplifting.

Our Matariki celebration is family friendly and will include kai offered by the Friends of Arataki.

For tickets call Arataki Visitor Centre 09 817 0077.
