This is an art exhibition (1919-2019) combining contemporary visual arts, sculpture, photography and poetry by NZ and international artists — a new take on the theme “War and Peace” to commemorate 100 years since the year after conclusion of World War One.

There will also be Chinese paintings and calligraphy, all at the beautiful venue of Metropolis Museum, where you can see artists at work during the exhibition. We encourage children — and adults too — to draw at the central area of the exhibition, where their work will be displayed daily as murals.

The art exhibition is complimented in the evenings by 5 daily concerts of different genres. Tickets are available separately through Eventfinda. The art exhibition is door sale only. EFTPOS is available.

The art exhibition runs from 26 May for 6 days, daily at 10am-4pm, and concludes on 31 May with an auction (7:30-9pm) of many of the artworks. We are pleased to announce that special guest singer/poet Anna Rugis will be singing at the opening of the arts auction. She was a session musician that toured with Cat Stevens and Van Morrison.
