Session for the day: Vishal will discuss his case-study partnering with the Health Quality and Safety Commission in co-designing nudges to improve the patient experience in our hospitals.

Vishal George is the Chief Behavioural Officer at Behavioural by Design - A social enterprise enabling teams to apply behavioural science and design thinking. As a global practitioner, he has applied insights and methodologies from behavioural science to help tackle challenges ranging from motivating landlords to insulate their houses to getting factory workers to comply with hand hygiene standards. Some of the clients he has partnered with include NZ Police, the Department of Corrections, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, Auckland Council, Westminster Council UK, Starbucks UK/USA and Adobe India/USA. With an MSc in Behavioural and Economics Science from Warwick University, his research interests include agent-based models, social influence and game theory experiments.

Behaviour Change Sessions feature discussions in behavioural science and related fields such as evolutionary psychology, behavioural economics, cognitive psychology and other social sciences. We cover academic research in the field, examples of nudges, applied case-studies and discussions on latest books, podcasts etc. We usually have a presentation followed by a discussion OR brainstorm a specific topic as a behavioural economics think-tank. After the session ends, around 5:30pm, we may move to a nearby pub to chat over drinks.

This session starts at 4:00pm at Victoria University, Pipitea Compus (Room - RH103 in Rutherfordhouse).

Thanks and look forward to seeing you there!
