Wellington Jazz Club: The Mellow Tones

The Mellow Tones, a quintet led by Dan Yeabsley (alto sax/baritone sax), with Ayrton Foote (keyboard), Eilish Wilson (baritone sax/alto sax), Johnny Lawrence (double bass), and Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa (drums), will deliver a spontaneous take on a gig of exclusively Ellington tunes.

Duke Ellington is credited with composing over a thousand tunes during his 50 year reign, some of the best loved being 'Mood Indigo', 'Sophisticated Lady', 'In a Sentimental Mood', and 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore'.

Bring friends along to share an evening of fine jazz with fine musicians. Come early to get a good seat. See you there.
