WGTN Pride - Disney Youth Ball

Its time again to hold the annual Wellington Pride Youth Ball.

The Ball will be part of the Wellington Pride Festival on March 23rd 2019, hosted by young people and supported by older folk from the rainbow community.

For students who don't conform to sexuality or gender norms the usual school balls are often unwelcoming - partners banned, dress codes enforced, unsafe environments. This is a ball run for youth, by youth - Which offers a safe and diverse alternative to high school balls where all attendees are encouraged to come how they are comfortable and with the people they want to.

This years theme is "Disney Magic" so feel free to jump on board and dress up for the theme. We will be turning the Te Marae space at Te Papa into a magical venue for this space, even including a few Disney themed performances by some of Wellingtons Drag stars.
