All of us are affected by sexual abuse and assault, whether it be ourselves, our immediate family members, our workmates, or other people we love. More than ever, we need to support each other.

On Saturday 11 May, Wellington choirs will come together to stand in solidarity with sexual abuse survivors' struggle for justice. The event will raise funds for Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP.

The concert will feature four of Wellington's best loved choirs - The Glamaphones, WOSOSI, Revelry and Tiwhanawhana - singing their signature tunes and some new ones. And, for the first time ever, everyone will sing together, for the penultimate track titled WISH.

WISH is a beautiful song with lyrics that were crowdsourced from the community. We asked Wellingtonians what their wish is for survivors of sexual abuse and they told us. If you would still like to add your wish to the mix, include it in the additional comments section when purchasing tickets.

A little about Wellington HELP:
Wellington HELP provide a 24/7 crisis support line, social work support and counselling to survivors of rape and sexual abuse. We support anyone of any age, gender or ethnicity, and because we know that the impacts of sexual abuse don’t just affect one person in isolation, we extend our service to support survivors friends and whānau.

With a growing need for our services in the Wellington region, HELP’s mission and challenge is to be there for all survivors when they need our support. All funds from ticket sales will go directly to supporting survivors of sexual abuse.
