Youth Music Challenge

To exclusively promote the original music of the youth from Waikato Region. Every year, we want to select four youth music groups (aged from 12 to 24) through auditions from Waikato, mentor them by professional music professionals, record four music tracks of each group in a top recording studio in Hamilton and organize at least 20 gigs for these music groups to perform in the education centres, malls and markets in the wider Waikato.

The audition process is called Youth Music Challenge. The participants are from any of the following districts: Waikato District, Hamilton City, Waipa District, Otorohanga District, Waitomo District, Taupo District, Rotorua District, South Waikato District, Matamata-Piako District, Hauraki District and Thames-Coromandel District.

This is the first ever project of this kind in New Zealand.
Each band/group/solo/duo will perform two of their original songs. The four winners (band/group/solo/duo) will be announced by Friday the 23rd of August.

2019 is the first of this project and we expect to see some amazing talents.
