Now in its 56th year the Rotorua Marathon takes place on a course like no other.
The event starts with a spine-chilling haka, before runners and walkers travel past geothermal activity, through the world-famous redwoods of Whakarewarewa Forest, or wind around picturesque Lake Rotorua. Runners and walkers can choose from a full marathon, off-road half marathon, 10km or 5.5km fun run.
