The Embassy of Italy is proud to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Raffaello Sanzio, the Italian Renaissance genius.
In order to shed light on the immortal masterpieces of the maestro, the Italian Embassy in Wellington, in collaboration with the University of Auckland, has organised a conference with an exceptional lecturer: Costantino D'Orazio.

Costantino D'Orazio is a renouned expert of Italian art, he is a critic and essayist, senior curator at MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome), and professor in the Master for curators at Luiss University of Rome and Link Campus University.
He is presenter of several art programs on Italian national TV an features heavily in discussions related to the topic.
He has exstensively written and published books on Italian all-time greatest, such as Raffaello, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and Leonardo da Vinci. Among the titles there are: Secret Caravaggio (2013), Secret Leonardo (2014), Michelangelo. I am fire. Autobiography of a genius (2016), Free us from evil (2017), Beauty merchants (2017), Leonardo revealed (2019).
