A Progressive Christmas comprises a series of mini-exhibitions beginning with a small selection of paintings by Brendan McGorry, works in miniature by Viky Garden, and a series of smaller works by ceramicist Liz Fea. Over the three weeks of the exhibition, additional small works by various Fe29 artists will be added.

To welcome painter Brendan McGorry to Fe29, we have selected his work, The First Seventeen Christmases (2012), a large acrylic and charcoal on board, as the title piece for this exhibition.

Viky Garden’s “Frayed”, a series of intimate miniature portraits on frayed canvas each measuring just 8x6” – a seemingly perfect metaphor for both the personal and political world in 2020. Alongside is a series of 13 limited edition (3) signed and numbered, sumptuously Gothic-framed miniature pinhole photographs.
