Land or Sea - What will you choose?

Step back in time aboard the iconic DC3 and take to the skies for some breath-taking scenery. Enjoy sumptuous food and chilled bubbles as you fly in style for a scenic tour of our region. Tickets for this special glimpse into history sell fast, so secure yours quickly.

Choose our White Island Views route - over the sea for island views of White Island/Whakaari and Whale Island/Moutohorā. White Island is one of New Zealand's most active cone volcano, home to unmatched geothermal activity. With steam vents, bubbling mud pits and hot volcanic streams, viewing this incredible island from the sky is an experience you will talk about for years to come.

Or choose our Coastline to Lakes Route, heading along the eastern shoreline to Opotiki and back over the Eastern Bay, looking over the iconic mountains, rivers and lakes that make up the Eastern Bay. Swing by the lakes and look over Rotoma before heading back to the ground.

White Island Views:
5pm Saturday 29 February
10am Saturday 7 March

Coastline to Lakes:
10am Sunday 1 March
5pm Saturday 7 March

Ticket price: $150

Departing from: Whakatane Airport, check in 45 mins before departure

The Air Chathams Sunshine and a Plate food festival is a Hospice EBoP fundraiser which celebrates the food, lifestyle and abundant sunshine of the Eastern Bay of Plenty. It's about living every moment and enjoying all the Eastern Bay has to offer. All funds raised go towards providing free specialist palliative care services throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
