Aka Tatau Drop in Workshop with Artist Ani O’Neill

Join Ani O’Neill in this artist-led response to Te Papa's "Tatau: Tatau Sāmoa ma ata puʻe
Tatau: Sāmoan Tattooing and Photography" Exhibition.

Nau mai, haere mai, afio mai, turou aere mai!

The workshop will involve patterning arms and legs with tatau inspired stamps onto skin. Come along to this inter-generational family activity and learn about the meaning and significance of the motifs used in Pacific tatau-making. Ani will be using non-toxic student acrylic paint so that designs can be easily washed off with warm soapy water afterwards. It will be messy, but lots of fun! All welcome.
