Amazing Oil Paintings by Bill Burke

Central Art Gallery is one of New Zealand's oldest privately owned galleries featuring over 1000 pieces of art from 85 leading and emerging NZ Artists.

From an early age Bill Burke’s passion and focus has always been drawing and painting. He began drawing with pen & ink while at Nelson College, holding his first exhibition as a nineteen year old at the Chez Elco Gallery, drawing old Nelson historic homes and buildings. Bill spent a number of years painting in watercolour before introducing oils and then pastels, wonderfully recording New Zealand’s unique light and vibrant colours.

Bill’s extremely polished technical skills are evident in his works and his painterly approach has often been described as refreshing. With a finely honed sense of observation, Bill is able to capture the essential subtleties of human and animal characteristics and body languages in his subjects.

All works are shipped free of charge throughout NZ and I also deliver worldwide daily.
