Do come and see a wonderful Exhibition by local artist Gwyn Connolly.
Come to the open evening on Tuesday 1st September for drinks and nibbles but most importantly, to meet Gwyn and see her wonderful art work.
"Art constitutes a dialogue between the abstract world of ideas, thought and emotion and the material outside world of form and structure.
I love the challenge of bringing form out of the formless. I enjoy playing with colour, light and space, both with 2D surfaces and in 3D construction.
My intention is always the creation of experience through art that stimulates, intrigues and demands response and participation within the viewer.
I see my work as becoming part of a wider interactive genre that has as its intent an invitation to the viewer to partake of their own adventure in response to the work. Colour, texture, composition, design, touch, taste and even smell can be conjured to support the journey.
I aim for a moment caught in time between the work and the perceiver that imbues a sense of "transcending the ordinary" and confers ownership of the experience back to the perceiver."
