The 2020 Art Stars exhibition is making its way to The Welder, 20 Welles Street, Christchurch.

Drops By: Zeffer Cider, Harrington's Breweries, The Crater Rim Wine, Lindauer
And first dibs on over 100 original student artworks and limited edition prints, alongside works from 15 established local artists.
Incredible artwork is created at a secondary school level and, more often than not, these student art folios end up either in a deep, dark corner of their parents' garage or in the school skip.
The Creators’ Room provides a free program to secondary school visual artists to showcase their work and connect with our community of growing collectors.
The exhibition is also open to the public during the day:

All artwork is available for sale, all remunerating the Creator. Exhibiting students have been expertly selected from a pool of over 2,000 submissions from 24 participating high schools for a life-changing affirmation and taste of the industry. Everyone is welcome - from serious collectors to art lovers and people who get a buzz from supporting local. This event will get you feeling good about the future of Ōtautahi art.
Filling collector’s homes and hearts, the money raised from art sales goes to the young artists to help them pursue a career in the arts; so far $85,000 has gone back into funding the young creators.
