Acclaimed Whanganui born photographer Anne Noble is the new artist-in-residence at Tylee Cottage. She will give an illustrated talk discussing recent projects that explore human relationships to the natural world.

The Sarjeant Gallery hosted Noble’s major series The Whanganui 1980; this was followed by a residency at Tylee Cottage in 1989. In 2003 Noble was awarded the Order of Merit for services to photography in New Zealand. In 2009 she was a recipient of a New Zealand Arts Foundation Laureate Award and was awarded the Massey University individual research medal. She was appointed as Distinguished Professor of Fine Art in 2013.
