It is such a privilege to be in our position at the moment, with few choirs in the world able to sing together, so we are particularly glad to announce our upcoming Christmas concert:
BAA-lleluia!
As hinted in the title, our programme will include a few songs on the sheep and shepherd theme, with the likes of "Shepherd’s Pipe Carol" by John Rutter, "L’Adieu des Bergers à la Sainte Famille" from Hector Berlioz, “O leave your sheep” arranged by Kenneth Leighton. It will also include many other pieces that worship the Lord and celebrate the birth of the Good Shepherd with works from Vaughan Williams, Handel, Wishart, Brahms and even a special arrangement of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" by one of our own, tenor Ken Leech.
The concert will be conducted by Nicholas Forbes with Organ accompaniment by Michael Stoddart.
Our two wonderful scholars, Miles and Josh, will also be raising the Baa, so it promises to be a night to remember.
We hope that you will all flock to join us in celebrating Christmas as we embrace the Joy of singing together again.
