You're invited to attend a presentation in Auckland with guest speaker, Professor Werner Hacke, a visiting stroke specialist and critical care neurologist from Germany. As part of our Brain Awareness Month series, this is an opportunity to learn more about the many wonders and marvels of the human brain.
Professor Hacke’s main scientific and clinical interests are in stroke and critical care neurology. He has pioneered the field of hyper-acute stroke management including hyper-acute stroke units, critical care of stroke, recanalizing therapies including intravenous thrombolysis (IVT or clot-busting drugs) and initiated several new management options for life threatening infections including decompressive surgery. Professor Hacke will give a presentation on his research on hyper-acute stroke management and other initiatives he is undertaking globally for the treatment of stroke.
Parking is available on surrounding streets and in public car parks around the Auckland University of Technology.
