You're invited to attend a presentation in Tauranga with guest speaker, Professor Denise Taylor. As part of our Brain Awareness Month series, this is an opportunity to learn more about the many wonders and marvels of the human brain.
Professor Denise Taylor will be presenting her research on inner ear (vestibular) disorders. She will be discussing how her team is utilising virtual reality tools to increase their understanding about how we find our way around our environments, and whether it is possible to identify and treat people who have difficulty with spatial navigation. Problems with navigation especially spatial navigation can be an early sign of cognitive impairment, particularly if it happens in places that are familiar.
Parking is available onsite, but it is on a first come, first serve basis.
Tickets are free, but registration is required to ensure you reserve a seat.
